Kindergarten Readiness is a four day program filled with the alphabet, math and art, offered over the summer to students entering Kindergarten in Fall 2014. The goal of the Kindergarten Readiness class is to help prepare incoming Kindergartners for their first weeks of school in a small group setting where behavioral and academic expectations can be clearly modeled and defined. Students participate in group activities similar to those they would experience in a typical Kindergarten classroom and have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the school, playground and the procedures and routines of the classroom. The children enrolled in Kindergarten Readiness also build relationships with other students who will also be entering Kindergarten in the Fall, thus making students confident and reassured as they enter their first day of Kindergarten.
